What to expect
Are you in need of some of the best physical therapy around? Premier Physical Therapy might be just what the doctor ordered- and you may not even need a referral!
Book an Appointment
Give us a call and see if we accept your insurance or check our list of accepted insurances. Some insurances do require a referral for physical therapy. However, in the state of South Carolina, physical therapy offices can see direct access patients.
Don’t have a referral, but want to be seen?
NOTE: No referral is needed if you are doing self-pay.
When can you come in?
Once we verify your payment type, whether it be insurance or self-pay, we will try and get you scheduled for your initial evaluation as soon as you would like.
Monday – Thursday 7 am – 6 pm
Friday 7 am – 2 pm
Your First Visit
You should come about 15-20 minutes early, as we do have some paperwork for you to fill out. But if you want to get ahead of the game: print these forms, fill them out, and bring them along for your first appointment to get more time with your therapist!
You may notice a dog or two come up to meet you by saying, “Hi there!” in their own inimitable ways – these are our certified therapy dogs, which often begin the process of relieving stress from our patients.
After finishing the initial paperwork, your therapist will come to you and greet you with a smiling face. They will complete an initial biomechanical assessment of your whole body. Your body works as a whole and when one part of the body hurts, it’s often another part of the body that is causing the pain.
We know it sounds pretty unusual, but take it from the experts: the science of biomechanics won’t let you down!
Do your home exercises and get moving again!
Your therapist will send you home with exercises to do between your physical therapy appointments. These workouts/stretches are a part of your home exercise program which is designed to help you achieve your individualized physical therapy plan of care.
