Meet the newest puppy you have seen or will see running around at the clinic! Literally running, usually in circles. She is 18 months old and full of love and energy. Tallulah Belle believes she has plenty of job duties at Premier Physical Therapy, whether it’s meeting and greeting patients at the door, bringing you a toy to throw for her, or just checking up on you during your treatment session. When she’s not busy hanging out with visitors or finding objects like paper clips and staples on the floor, she likes to lay in the sun at the front door and nap. When her best friend Isabelle is around Tallulah is usually trying to convince her to play or wrestle.
Within the next year, Tallulah will hopefully be certified as a therapy dog like her buddies Jake and Marley.
Here are just a few the benefits of having dogs in the clinic:
- Increases socialization, verbalization, and alertness
- Affects positive mood alterations
- Decreases blood pressure
- Decreases anxiety and depression
- Reduces effects of stress
