Jill is originally from Buffalo, New York. She majored in Biology/Athletic Training and played Division 1 Volleyball at Canisius College before transferring to Northeastern University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Jill has been working as a Physical Therapist since 1994. She has worked in a variety of settings from Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Home Health, and her passion, Outpatient.

Training & Expertise

Jill has advanced training in the McKenzie and Mulligan techniques, and is knowledgeable in manual therapy for both extremities and spine. She also has training in strength and conditioning for sports rehabilitation. Her surgical observations include: lumbar fusion, laminectomy, pain pump, epidurals, Rax cath, total knee and hip replacements, knee and shoulder arthroscopies, rotator cuff repair, ACL reconstruction, artificial disc replacement for cervical and lumbar, and Intradiscal Electrothermal Annuloplasty (IDET).

Jill loves sports and has worked with MLB and NFL players. As an athlete herself, she played basketball, volleyball, and softball in both high school and college. She currently enjoys being active outdoors, playing golf, and whitewater kayaking. She’s also competes in triathlons (swim, bike, run) and various road races. Among her passions, Jill loves kids so she not only sponsors children through World Vision but also enjoys being a volunteer coach.

Taking her expertise beyond the office, Jill went on her first medical mission trip in 2004 with Medical Campus Outreach to Thohoyando, South Africa, where she supervised Physical Therapy students from the Medical University of South Carolina. Since 2011, she has been volunteering with Palmetto Medical Initiative with whom she’s been to Uganda four times and Nicaragua once. Her latest mission trip was to Togo, Africa in 2019.

She loves animals and has rescued many dogs over the last few years to help them achieve full rehabilitation and find good homes. She has 3 four-legged fur babies of her own (Isabelle, Heather, and Oliver) who can occasionally be seen at the office greeting patients or following their mom.

In short, as one of Jill’s coworkers put it, Jill is a “large, strapping, athletic female who enjoys flexing her muscles. She dances like no one’s watching and sings like no one’s listening”. 🙂
